His past black campaign workers were booking him gigs with black celebs and important leaders, but his campaign manager preferred to keep booking stadiums They were practically begging for the campaign to meet more with their AA guests before the meetings would suddenly be cancelled to shift the budget to another rally
Bernie would have never had Georgia, Arizona, and Texas in reach. Or Utah.
They would've went after his religion. Bernie was so not ready for those oppo hits on him. Hillary could take the heat because people knew what they were getting when she ran. It's nothing new for her.
Also his message would so not be ready for the Citizens United world we live in. His ego would've told him to compete with Trump for the bigger rallies and not investing in GOTV efforts.
Thank god for the Clinton political machine. It can be a pain in the ass, but when it works it REALLY WORKS.
It's so easy for Berners to say how "loved" Bernie is when no one bothered to run negative campaigns against him. Hillary could afford to beat him without doing so and ensuring a large part of his support backed up her in the general, and Hillary has always been the primary Democratic target for the Republicans.
