Actually, when you really listen to the production only I don't find that the production is really all that noisy. I think a combination of the reverb and frequencies (especially with the vocals, they have quite a bit of reverb/echo placed on them) depending on where you listen to it make it noisy. Especially with the bass involved.
Also I remember when Judas first came out there was a considerably noisier version that wasn't mastered well and that one was pretty unbalanced. But the production itself is not all that bad.
