Oddly enough that would be a good THEME for a cover or song title but as an album title it seems too gimmicky and no depth.
What I think when first reading Pink Friday is ??? why but then my next thought is Black Friday and then putting pink instead of black. Looking back at what the history of Black Friday is and realizing that Pink represents females and she is the only female in the game doing it...there is some subtle meaning behind it.
Short story...long Pink Friday > Harajuku Barbie.

Kanye West is giving Nicki Minaj a major co-sign. The rapper says Young Money’s First Lady has the potential to be one of the greatest rappers of all time.
“The scariest artist in the game right now… The scariest artist is definitely Nicki Minaj,” Kanye told Angie Martinez on Hot 97. “And I think she has the most potential out of everyone to be the #2 rapper of all time ’cause nobody’s gonna be bigger than Eminem. Eminem’s the #1 rapper of all time.”
Kanye confirmed that Minaj is featured on his fifth album, as Rap-Up.com first reported. The disc is due November 16.
Who are the other potential threats? “I love Wayne, I love Cudi, I love Jay… They scare me too,” he revealed. “And yo Drake, you gotta give Drake credit too. Drake is scary also.”

This trey songz song will hold me over until they release her effing next single. i am getting to ancy...but I like the interview she just conducted.
She is under a lot of pressure and it seems as though she is being pushed to put it out 11/23 to get huge buzz sales while Nicki is thinking more about her artistry and releasing it in the new year when she feels more ready :-/. Either way, this is a platinum album in the making. I am ready for Right through me or whatever her new song is.

I agree that she is appropriate the script of successful female mcs of the past but what you are to do is take from the best and make it your own. Her new album will determine if she can make it her own...I think she will.
Essence Magazine better sit the eff down.

So let me stack this up right...
currently Check it out is blowing up at pop and rhytmhic will begin to peak late November
Right through me will probably peak December
Bottoms up will peak in the next month...
if she keeps this up the songs will do well on all formats to get people influenced to support the project.

But I do agree that her sales are so unpredictable. With all the shows she is doing and the fanbase she has I predict strong numbers. SHe will be everywhere before she album drops and I am not sure what the sales would be. Her record company are shipping out 500k apparently and that is just for albums.
To be safe, I predict 250k but for some reason I really feel as though she will do close to 400k I know that sounds crazy now but I see high numbers.
Still pulling for #1, though.

I actually heard 500k shipped but billboard means $hit when it comes to predictions. Their most valuable of charts and things like that. I remembered they predicted Xtina selling 800k of Stripped and it sold half of that. On the contrary, saying In the zone would sell 300k and it sold double. They overestimated Katy Perry's sales recently.
Predictions are hard nowadays but I really hope she can pull around 400k. I too think people are underestimating her appeal to female "barbies" that want someone to look to know. Her mixtape sales are crazy, her twitter, her constant touring building her fanbase, her 7weeks at #1 pop/ballad and her 10+ hits from features are quite a buzz. If her album gets good reviews and she does the right promo she should be good.

It used to be called Sh*ttin' On Em, so the probably changed the title in anticipation of it being a single.
Her assistant said it's his fav on the album along with Roman's Revenge. Rumored to be an urban club banger.
Nicki mentioned Save Me on Ustream this week so that might be a single too.

I'm just glad we got the track listing. I expect 4 more singles throughout this era.
So she has 14 songs charting this year...then the Keyshia cole song...the em song will chart and maybe one or two will chart during album release

but through out 2013 and now I see more and more people liking her songs.
