her album has already sold well. like i said, it can sell 9 copies next week and it's already a success. sales mean nothing to me, tbh.

You still don't get it. Nvm. i don't expect everyone to see eyes to eyes with me. Do you think Madonna is really very successful ?? My generation don't even know her. and she popped out 10 years ago (i don't even know when she became famous). Done Period.

Just no. Alejandro was released because it's commercial - that's the reason Gaga wanted it as a single. If it was about choosing the best tracks, Speechless would have been one too.
With Judas, they expected it to be another JD/PF/BR and that's why it was released. Gaga didn't even list it as one of her favorite songs on the album when asked on Twitter.

Scheisse is a female empowerment song, it's not about being yourself - of course you're yourself if you're a woman.
The Queen and MTN are both personal to Gaga.
Judas is not about being yourself regardless of the explanation she came up with which is probably ridiculous.
BTW is definitely not a concept album, unlike TF, where every song was either about ****ing or being famous - or ****ing while being famous.
|
TF was a bubblegum pop album, whose only aim was to make Gaga famous enough to be able to release albums like BTW. BTW reflects Gaga's inner thoughts and fears. It reflects what she feels and how she feels it. There is a generally personal concept to BTW. Self-acceptance, courage, emotional and physical strength. I'm not sure how this whole 'concept album' debate started up, but regardless of your opinion of BTW's concept album status, it cannot be argued that this is a much more fitting and meaningful album than TF...

Of course, BTW is superior to TF in every possible respect.
I was just saying that it cannot be considered as a concept album because it has various topics, while every song on TF is about the same thing.

I can't at this statement. LOL. How I Like Rough, Poker Face, Boys Boys Boys, Brown Eyes being a song about ****ing ? or famous ?
I can argue too. (Everyone else can just ignore this post of mine cause it is ridiculous in some sense)
Americano is about acceptance of gay marriage related to US law.
GH about not confined by govt and about freedom (partly of BTW them)
MTN is about loving your country, having a sense of belonging to it and proud of it because you were born this place.
The Queen encourage us to be confident with yourself. We're the queen. LOL
Judas -- Gaga said it. (reminiscing me about Telephone's meaning LOL)
We can all argue as we want. So to me, it is still a concept album.

If I remember correctly, Interscope wanted DITD and Gaga wanted Alejandro. Interscope wants MTN and Gaga wanted Judas... I think Gaga wanted Judas because she thought it'd be as big as Bad Romance for whatever reason. When it comes down to it, Gaga chooses and normally gets the last word because her label lets her do whatever she wants.
I'm afraid I am, too. It's sad that so many of you worry about things such as sales. Don't get me wrong, I am over the moon that she has sold 3.5 million copies in a little over a month, but even if she hadn't, why does that matter? The only reason some of you care about sales is so you something to fall back on when you defend her. "Oh, she sold this much she is the best." The best artists don't always sell the most.

Uh... I like it rough... I like rough sex.
Poker Face, bluffin' with my muffin. Thinking about women when she's ****ing men.
Boys boys boys... she likes ****ing boys lol.
MTN is not about loving your country, it's about not changing and how she didn't let Hollywood change her.

When I said "according to whether the label thinks they will do well or not" I meant together with Gaga - my point was that they do not choose the best songs (in this case GH would have been a single already) but the most commercial ones and the ones that will sell the album.
I believe both Gaga and the label thought Judas would be another BR, and it could have been but it was unlucky.

unfortunately to me thoose songs don't have those kind of meaning. It is just your interpretation and I can interpret as I want. So.. I don't want to argue with you anymore, I don't wanna spam this thread and get warning points.
To me, BTW as well as TFM, are all concept album or at least an album with a MAJOR THEME. I need these kind of album in my life, not album full with radio-friendly songs.

It doesn't matter who knows who she is, she has sold over 300,000,000 albums worldwide. She is a legend. She's not of this generation, but that in no way makes her unsuccessful.

So after all, Album sales are material right ? See.
Why most of you still think Madonna is successful, because of her sales and chart success. WE ALL GONNA ADMIT THAT WE DO REALLY CARE ABOUT SALES AND CHART within our mind, even you say you doesn't care on your mouth.
