I'm not worried about that shtick and neither should Katy. On the chance that there is a "comeback", it'll definitely be a slow burner so Katy's sales will most likely look healthier, regardless.

I see Ariana as a mini-Katy tbh. Huge radio support and streaming, with less sales. I think Katy should be fine.

Yes. Yes it could. It has the potential to be Prism-esque. So proud of her. On a slight tangent, imagine if Katy's first grammy is for AOTY for The Pinkprint. Unlikely, I know, but imagine...

As long as Katy doesn't pull an Applause her lead should have #1 on lock. She just needs to have an epic follow-up single to keep everyone's interest. No promo singles this time, it'll mess up chances of the second single being "new" and "fresh". The last thing we want is distraction between 3-4 singles again like what happened with Roar/Dark Horse/Walking On Air/Unconditionally.

If she makes us wait nearly 3 years, not including whatever Christmas thing comes out, for an Artpop.
I hope that her lead single has nothing to do with fame at all, as all the recent pop star releases which had fame singles bombed and, with the exception of Gimme More, were lackluster.
