It sucks for Katy though. the biggest Culprit for Katy's lack of appreciation is definitely USG. So in that sense, she's partially to blame, but critics have held something against her. I mean a score of 52 for an AOTY contender was shocking.
But are you thinking of another question?

Just in general. Not so much the Taylor stuff, but the lack of mention of Katy anywhere. Like, she's a proven reliable asset, yet she's not even in the Top 3 go-to artists someone would want to sign if they had the chance? Everyone knows they'd be lucky to get someone like Katy on their label. It's a joke.
But she is working on it. She's improved with each album critically and that's a good thing. I think her next album will be another critically acclaimed one if she keeps this upwards trajectory. Commercially she won't be as big as Teenage Dream of course, or even PRISM. I think her lead can go #1 though. But I think she can release an album that gets a 68-72 on Metacritic and possibly a Grammy win. But it's all up to her, what direction she decides to go. If she wants one more fun pop era with songs like International Smile and Peacock on the record, she won't get the acclaim she deserves.
