It reminded me of the Conjuring, which also everyone found scary but I was bored.
I prefer shock and gore.

But it was scarier than what AHS usually serves. I'm not passing a judgement on which is better but the elements that create real fear were present here while in the other seasons it'd usually jsut be 'creepy'.

i am so hyped for the rest of the season. i literally haven't felt so excited since Coven, which had a great premiere (but so different in tone!).

Here are my thoughts on the episode:
1. 'My Roanoke Nightmare?' I cringed so hard. Murphy, what are you doing?
2. I'm elated that Lily Rabe's in this season as a regular but why play the boring character? She deserves more than that.
3. Cuba's acting is decent.
4. Sarah Paulson is leading this season. I love it.
5. This season is basically Murder House 2.0. Baby lost? Check. Moved to a new house? Check. Ghosts present in the house? Check. Piggy Piggy? Check.
6. Is that a dead dog or swine?
7. The Lee being interviewed is a terrible actress. No emotions shown whatsoever.
8. What is Denis O'Hare's character doing? I am confused.
9. I like Kathy Bates's character. Reminds me of Delphine LaLaurie.
10. Wes Bentley looks horrendous.

I am genuinely curious about this season. Hoping they don't **** it up.
