Ashrock pretty much just perfectly summarized my feelings about this song, although I'll add that it's totally a guilty pleasure pop song. I can't get enough of it, even though I kinda dislike it.

I've already played it 100 times.

But this is really risky too, how her country fans would react, assuming that she still has a few of them, and how critics would react, the little credit about "maturity & songwriting ability" she got with "The Hunger Games" OST just disappeared. Anyway you can please everybody, I just hope this will turn out to be a BIG radio hit, therefore it will give an exposure to her "real" 1st single (the 2nd single).

The Red cover & concept is absolutely great, the opposite of this sh*tty song (bTW I wonder why I still play it on repeat, it seems like I don t want to listen to anything but it even though I hate it so much)

I have no problem with Taylor chasing a massive pop hit. She's shown in the past that she can write smash pop songs that are still smart - You Belong with Me and Love Story. But this song is so bad. It's catchy but in a generic, soulless way. The verses barely have a melody. And there isn't one clever or interesting lyric. The indie diss could have been funny but she phrased it in a really awkward way.

I'm trying to be optimistic about the Billboard editor's comments - but Billboard is a trade publication and really only care about sales.

I blame Max Martin for suggesting they write this scheiße and Scott Borchetta for letting her release it.

Working with Max Martin was a dumb decision on Taylor's behalf, but given his track record with Britney and Avril, they should've been able to come up with something better.

I'm not gonna have a meltdown over WANEGBT, but I'm so darn close to cussing out these bandwagonning ATRLers who listen to and worship generic Spears/Perry all day long and think WANEGBT is anything but one of the two worst songs Taylor's ever released.

People think it's her best song. I think those people should be the first to die in the Apocalypse.

My problem is that....it is not COUNTRY. It is so hard for me to take it in, absorb the song because it seems not to be a Taylor song. The Country version made me appreciate it more. It feels like it isn't a Taylor song and that's what I don't like.

Oh well, just appreciate its catchiness.

You can hear some country guitar/banjo sounds in one of the "ooo-oooo-ooo" parts though..so it has a bit of country feel to electro/dance/pop fans
