I just bought the song and WTF I don t know how i feel about it, her worst song to date, how basic it is ! the complete opposite of what I excepected, Ofc I didn t think one second a song like White Horse or Safe & Sound would be the lead single but still...
However I assume she needs a radio hit, an attention before Red comes out and if she has continued with a mine/love story lead single type in her confrot zone, she would just decline like Carrie does, she can t pull a Rolling In The Deep/STIUTK single because it has no germ of country. She can t follow the Britney road too and sexualize her image ala Toxic because she d be over after that, she s successful because she not like the other popstars precisely. But this is really risky too, how her country fans would react, assuming that she still has a few of them, and how critics would react, the little credit about "maturity & songwriting ability" she got with "The Hunger Games" OST just disappeared. Anyway you can please everybody, I just hope this will turn out to be a BIG radio hit, therefore it will give an exposure to her "real" 1st single (the 2nd single).
The Red cover & concept is absolutely great, the opposite of this sh*tty song (bTW I wonder why I still play it on repeat, it seems like I don t want to listen to anything but it even though I hate it so much

I can't get it out my head. Only a queen can create timeless ballads and catchy tunes at the same time.
