Congratulations to those of you in the top 10! It's been a long, hard journey thus far, but the competition only gets hotter from here. This week I decided to bring back one of the best challenges from last season
Round 6: ARTPOP

Each of you will be assigned a painting. Your job is to interpret the painting how you please and write a song from this inspiration. Look at the colors, the brush strokes, the setting and the emotions of faces for inspiration. This isn't meant to be a literal interpretation of the painting, but more a translation of the mood and story of the painting into a song. As always, be creative and let the painting inspire you instead of confine you. I've assigned a painting to each of you. There are no trades this week. I have 3 extra paintings that are available if you feel completely stuck, however.

Oh, ****, this was the round I believe I was eliminated from last season. I'm gonna do lots of research on my piece, but if it is what I think it is - I might try something completely new this season.

EDIT: Oh, the ARTPOP round! This was my favorite entry from the last season I participated in, though it was only a bonus round. I did end up winning the round, though.

There are no interpretations online, and the painting isn't even titled, so research is a little hard. I just realised that this dude has a painting called "The Great Masturbator"...Ok...
