Alors on danse should quite obviously be in this list, it has garnered massive airplay and sales, certainly it should have more points than Carry Out. The method is totally skewed toward performance in the US charts and doesn't accurately reflect what is actually popular on a global scale.

Not really, the success of that song was pretty much in Europe only and it failed to do good in UK and a couple of European countries as well.

There's just no ****ing way. It was not even "huge" in the US, and you yourself seem to admit that the method is biased towards America. If something is "huge" in the US how is that a worldwide hit? If you smash in Europe only, you've still had better worldwide performance than something that only does well in the US, UK, and AUS-CAN-NZ.

Which means that the UWC is irrelevant in determining what songs are most popular on a global scale. Nobody is their right mind could say that Carry Out was a bigger hit on a global scale than Alors on danse.

It was on top longer than Telephone, but Telephone topped more WW charts and simply sold more than Rude Boy. Rude Boy was just certified 2x platinum in the US while Telephone sold that a while before.
