The Sexxx Dreams remix with Justin probably would've gone top 10. But even with all that promo you came up with, I still don't think the others would have charted that well because of the quality of the songs themselves.
I mean, G.U.Y was promoted on The Late Show with David Letterman, the video was released on Lateline, she did a GMA appearance to promote the video premiere, she posted it to her 66 million facebook fans frequently, she posted it to her 41 million twitter followers, it was on gossip sites like DailyMail and HollywoodLife, it was on MTV and VEVO. The problem wasn't promo or public awareness, the problem was that the song just wasn't good enough.
And since when was ARTPOP half finished? I was under the impression that she started working on it the day Born This Way came out (so two and a half years worth of work) and especially in the 9 months she had between cancelling the BTWB and the album's release. I always thought Interscope initially knocked it back and told her they should release it as a mixtape or she should go back to the studio and rework it but she told them she wasn't sacrificing her artistic integrity. This was her art and this is what she had created. She seemed/seems really proud of the record. I don't really think it's half finished. I'm pretty sure it's complete. And even some of the best songs of all time had their first drafts out in 10 minutes. I miss the girl who wrote hooks as catchy as Poker Face and Heavy Metal Lover. That's what she was known for, her catchy hooks. They somehow got lost in DJ White Shadow's messy, electronic over-production.

Actually, I downplayed some of the chart positions from what I would want them to be. Reduce the peaks by 3-5 spots for accurate peaks.
I don't think "G.U.Y." ever could've been a huge #1, or top 3. Hell, even top 10/15 is a bit of a stretch. And yes, she did that somewhat small promo (although I wouldn't count tweeting/posting about it as "promo", since every artist does that ), but imo it truly wasn't nearly enough, especially being out of the public eye for ~2 months. Those promo spots that you listed are too small to make a lasting impact. If she had, for instance, performed it at the BBMAs/iHeartRadio music awards, and it still didn't do well, then I would agree with you. But the image problems + general lack of hype/relevance in the US really stopped the song from even beginning to reach it's fullest potential.
I say half-finished bc the album had 3 main production phases: the "fall of the blonde" album, the "disney acid princess rise of the phoenix" album, and the "goddess of love Koons ball" album. Gaga was set to release the 2nd one in Spring 2k13, but obvsly she didn't bc of her hip breaking. A few months ago, Gaga said that the people around her "gravely mismanaged" her time and health, leading me to believe the third draft of ARTPOP (the goddess of love one) was being recorded in the time after her hip broke, but her label was rushing her to get it out before the end of 2013, and so she simply threw together some stuff from the 2nd and 3rd versions of ARTPOP together. Imo if her label was more competent, ARTPOP would've probably been released in early 2014 with a more cohesive "goddess of love" theme.

My plan for ARTPOP (somewhat shorter read):
plan
Don't do it
High princess, decay of blonde icon theme instead

Applause should not have been first. Do What U Want featuring Usher instead of R. Kelly should've been.
And the era should've been sleek techno chique like her first few promo images.

I love it. The Gypsy part until the last (except G.U.Y. and the tour) could possibly happen if Gaga read this since it's not already happened! This is why I love Monsters, creative at their best!

Boy you Gaga fans are very dedicated. But what a waste of precious time.
Realize that the fault lies in Gaga and the material she chose to present as ARTPOP.
Leave it alone. It's part of her trajectory now. And MOVE ON!
Stop with these What if...or ...What should have been done
It's annoying and again...MOVE ON!
ARTPOP will NOT recover. Just let her finish her tour and START NEW with fresh material!

Even if she did perform G.U.Y at the BBMAs and iHeartRadio awards, I still don't think it would have peaked any higher than #76 because it just wasn't that great. Like I said before, the problem wasn't awareness, the song just isn't that good and doesn't make for repeat-listening (unless you're a stan). You hear it once, but it's not catchy enough to get stuck in your head or make you want to sing it from your perspective (the song's content is about being content with being a submissive power-bottom, after all). But not everyone watches the BBMAs and the iHeartRadio awards. And I bet you anything, 100% of the people who watched those award shows were aware of G.U.Y (both the song and the video) - she wouldn't have reached a wider audience by performing it on either of them.
And I mean, I can understand now where your assumption that it was a 3rd-draft/unfinished album came from now, but you shouldn't say it like it's fact. It's kind of misleading, and I don't think the "mismanagement" scandal with Troy would have impacted the quality of the work she made with her producers anyway. I think that was strictly about management, or that he was the one that told her to go back into the studio because ARTPOP wasn't good enough.

Gypsy should've been lead single.

Sounds like a myth
She needs to take notes from the fans tbh now that she fired her whole team.
Btw, Venus should never see the light of the day as a single.

You're in ATRL too, you're here to let the time pass by. Don't contradict yourself
EDIT: And that is coming with someone who's been here for a long time and with 3,693, and you're saying he/she is just wasting her/his time?

Idk if I should classify this thread as being optimistic out delusional.
Venus would've never happened.
The Britney/JT performance seems messy plus so damn unrealistic.
I enjoyed reading this but some parts are just cringe worthy.

Nice OP! Although I don't think Applause worked as the lead for some reason. Maybe it needed a feature. Maybe another song would have been better. I still swear by DWUW as the lead, but if she got JT on a single that would have to be the lead.

You didn't have to read or entered this thread at all, you know that right?
Posting threads like this are way better than spending the same amount of time hating and wishing death upon popstars

Truth be told, nothing would have been different with the music itself being as messy as it is.
And Venus as a single would never have been a good decision. Gaga herself needs to realize that, too. Scrapping it for DWUW was the only good decision made the entire era.

She just needs to grow from this. A lot of mistakes were made this era, but you can tell that when she hired Bobby she got dedicated again. With her next project, rather it be C2C, Act II, or a whole new concept, I think she'll have the right attitude.

I understand that ARTPOP (the good AND the bad) is cemented in her career now, and it'd take some sort of once in a lifetime miracle for the era to somehow start back up, but what the hell is so bad about me posting how I would've liked the era to go? EVERY FANBASE DOES IT! Just bc I decided to make a thread about it doesn't make it bad. Like, get the f uck out if you hate it so much.
