1st... Brandy better than Ashanti?? C'mon...Brandy never made it international....
Ashanti isn't from the 90's...Gosh....Her first Soloalbum was released in 2002 - definetly not 90's !!!!
The way that I love you is a huge comeback song....there is a lot of **** in the top 20 that haven't deserved to be there....I hope Good Good or Body on me make it top 20 or top 10...Ashanti just deserves it...But I see The declaration will flop international too..because here in europe..she isn't promoting it..and that's sad....

I do care about talent though..but it usually takes a little more sense to debate something that is purely subjective..I wouldn't dare put you through such a struggle.

Brandy did make it international..with all of her albums + singles but those from the first era..she's had more success as a celebrity than Ashanti..BUT that is completely irrelevant.
Brandy is just way more talented than generic fads like Ashanti.

Let's stop bashing Brandy and all those other artist. There's a time and place for sucess and this obviously isn't Ashanti's time, she had her time already, I guess. I don't think she's done yet, truly no one can be done these days, all you have to do is hook up with the hottest producers and anyone can come back to life.

Basically, except this time it's Ashanti's fault. She failed her fans with this album. She's growing, but not fast enough. She took a step back releasing TWTILY..esp. after having songs like "Only U" and "Rain On Me".

Who the f*ck buys a cd because the person is talented? I know Patii Labelle is talented but I wont run to the store and buy her cds because she's an awesome singer. Normally people buy albums because they like the artist and their songs, talent i dont think has anything to do with it.
I'm not trying to be obsessed with sales, but whats the point in making albums if they dont sell? Isnt that the POINT?

Talent is defined as a natural ability or quality. I don't know about YOU, but when I like an artist, I find them to be talented in some aspect. Their talent is what makes them appeal to me. Since they appeal to me (personally, not you [I see you're a bit slow so you might not have caught on to 'me' being ME and not you]), I support them..whether it be by buying their album, single, or going to see them in concert.

I dont buy talent though, I buy the songs. I know Brandy is talented but i wont buy her album just because of her talent. If she had songs that I like then I would buy her cd not like N0rmaL who buys it because her "talent appeals to him" Theres alot of people that are talented & I buy their cds but its because their songs are really good not because of their talent. I dont know whats so hard to understand.
Like I know you like Ciara but do you buy her cds because she's a good dancer/singer? Or is it that her SONGS make you buy her albums?

EXACTLY. I know that Chrsitina Aguilera is talented, but i dont buy her albums beacuse her songs bore me, but its very personal, she is very talented and thats why she keeps selling millions

I think you're mistaking "talent" for being a powerhouse vocalist or some ****. Stop paying so much attention to the word and look at what it means.
