Because they know hands down Hilary wins in that department, they keep going on and on about how iconic Raven but wouldn't icons have success outside of a certain format, Raven has had little to no success outside of the Disney arena, so it baffles me as to why they think this.

I obviously didn't mean she could be, but she has no equivalent. Full House, for instance, has the same stigma as The Cosby Show, hence Mary Kate and Ashley.
I guess Hilary had that Casper movie, but....
I'm not shading Hilary by any means, because I love her, but the word "iconic" is thrown around so much when Hilary does not have one iconic thing on her resume.
Lizzie was cute, but it didn't have the ratings of TSR or the impact of Hannah Montana. Yes, Hilary had a successful music career, but so have Selena and Demi and anyone with a competent team, although they have reached heights Hilary never did.
Lizzie McGuire was a success for Disney Channel, as are many other programs. That doesn't make Hilary herself "iconic".

I agree with some parts of your posts BUT you must also realize, TSR and Hannah Montana went on longer than Lizzie McGuire did, Lizzie was only on two seasons (and they made those episodes last over three years), so naturally a show that was on for four-five seasons is going to have more impact PLUS the Disney Channel was in a lot more homes during the runs of TSR and HM, you people need to stop and take these things into equation before you post.

They will not listen and will find excuses to everything, don't bother. Anyone who isn't blinded by nostalgia, knows Raven is iconic, while Hillary is not.

I know. Someone with a hit *cable* children's show and some videos on TRL is more iconic than someone who was part of an American staple and maintained a presence over 3 decades, INCLUDING a hit *cable* children's show that was more successful than the other.
Only on ATRL.

but hilary had successful movies and albums that sold over 15 million copies worldwide, let's also not forget that she sold out arenas, like...

You girls will do anything to down play Hilary's accomplishments.
My question still hasn't been answered.
Why is Raven unsuccessful outside of the Disney field?
Nobody bought her music and even then she kind of had some Disney promo to help that.
Her show on ABC Family had some of the worst ratings and it flopped so badly they had to quickly burn off two episodes a night.
The rest of her projects have been straight-to-DVD Tinkerbell movies, so I guess that's cute BUT surely someone so iconic, would have done something BIGGER with their career since leaving the Disney Channel.

Neither are iconic but if i had to choose hilary is. She had more success with her tv show, movies, music. And not to mention she paved the way for the other disney girls that came after.

We aren't talking about Miley or Demi, though. This is about Hilary & Raven, and of the two, Hilary is clearly the more "iconic" one.
