Single Ladies both the song and dance are always referenced everywhere on TV to this day....can anyone even sing the full hook of umbrella anymore?? She had to release the same album five times to make it relevant in the first place
And first of all, shouldn't the artist be an icon to even make an iconic song? I mean c'mon now...
I remember Single Ladies coming on the news before I even knew who Beyonce was. I remember my older cousins' friends doing a parody video because everyone was posting them on MySpace, great times. The first time I heard Umbrella was a few years ago when Glee covered it. I don't ever remember it transcending into human culture.
