If I could download all the songs from my favorite artist for a fraction of the cost of owning the physical counterpart, I would probably opt for that.
It's not necessarily the same as the U.S. where the price difference between buying the full digital album and buying the physical CD is not that significant. As I understand it, in reading through that thread on UKMIX when the year-end international sales list came out last month, physical albums are seen as more of a novelty collection piece for the truly devoted.
Maybe I'm misremembering that, though.
