Well I was a sophomore in high school at the time but anyways, me and this girl sat beside each other and somehow we were on the topic of mixed races.

this girl had the audacity to say "I think it's okay if blacks mix with asians or mexicans but I hate when they mix with whites."

I was uncomfortable at first but then I realized how proud she was of her opinion and I got mad. So I walked away mid conversation and asked the teacher to sit somewhere else for the rest of the semester.

At a graduation party, the host's grandfather stopped me and asked how difficult it was for my parent's to immigrate to the US because he knows how difficult the Vietnam War was on our people. I told him I was Hispanic. And then he was like "oh, it's so impressive that you're able to immigrate here, overcome your language barrier and be able to gain an education, regardless of your struggles."

A friend of mine is really quick to call anyone out on discrimination or prejudice towards black people but basically does the same thing to every other minority. It's honestly uncomfortable and sadly ironic

I was not, I said in my original comment that you quoted that OBVIOUSLY blacks are facing way more racism than whites...all I was saying was that racism isn't exclusive to blacks. Other races can also feel racism. Whites can face racism. Anyone can.

Racism = being treated poorly because of your race (not just black, but white, Middle Eastern, Latino, Asian, etc.)

Yes, the blacks have faced way worse than whites. All I'm saying that if a black person calls a white person a "cracker" that would still be racist. Obviously it doesn't bring up the emotions and hurt of a white person calling a black person the "N-word", but it still is racist.

This one angry little kid in after school got mad at me on several occasion and and called me ****ing ****** but at the time I didn't know what it meant and they tried to coax me not to tell my mom .

The same place we went on a field trip to an indoor water park and then a large group of black kids came and I heard the consulers saying it would be hard to tell us apart since we all look the same not knowing I was right there.

I also remember this one girl thinking me and this other girl were just really sunburnt (she was 7) and whenever I was over my white friends houses whenever something went missing them assuming I stole it.

This was all around when I was 11. Honorable mention goes to people telling me I looked like I was from "adopted a kid africa" commercials in comparison to my sister because she is lighter than me. I'm at a new school and the racism this year alone
