I know this doesn't have to do with my race, but it has to do with religion.

My friend has bothered me for the past like three years about whether or not I'm Jewish. We got into another heated debate today, and he told everyone in my class that I said I'm Jewish. First of all, does it matter what religion I am?

Second of all, someone did the "Heil Hitler" sign directly toward me. It's disgusting how people use that even as a joke.

Yeah, since racism is a word in the English language, it can be defined multiple ways. Casual racism and systematic racism aren't the same thing, no one is arguing that point so please don't @ me with some mess saying I'm equating them but they do both fall under the term of racism. 50 lbs and 5000 lbs aren't the same thing but they're both heavy.

Some people are just really committed to fighting over that little bit of semantics literally every time the word is used.

"System" means more than just the mathematical definition of system. One academic discipline doesn't get to seize control of a word and negate every other prior definition and usage of the word. That is not how the English language works. We do not have separate words for casual racism and sociological racism.

Please stop saying this. It's so nitpicky and unproductive and leads to the same stupid cyclical fight that has no positive outcome every single time.
