This only concerns the Supernatural stans, for you guys with taste only:
M's ultimate Halloween anthem
(have blasted it all year tho )
You transcendentally imposed yourself upon my bed
You know you didn't say very much
I'm out of body and I feel so good in my head
You know I'm really quite touched
I wake up with your fragrance and it's all over me
(what cologne do you wear?)
I walk around with a smile on my face 'cause you're close to me
Well I know you're somewhere
I am taking it an album at a time, like I did with Janet. I'm beginning Self Titled as we speak
I definitely use music as a tool to help me deal with my anxiety issues, I have quite the extensive library because it just chills me out and lets me ~~drift away from my problems~~ as corny as it sounds. I'm so excited to discover her entire world She has such an extensive catalog, she must have a song for literally every mood
Anxiety is brutal. As you know, no song exists under this sun that will ever just appear and magically set everything straight, but sometimes having one's spirit lifted is enough. What's that old epigram about the building process of Rome?
Each time I find myself in that whirlpool, I always seem to be able to put on a Madonna record and find comfort, peace, reflection, and hope. That isn't to say, though, that her discography is just one long sulk; there's a consistent sense of joy and a thread of ambition running through almost everything! There's magic and excitement hanging over all of it. It empowers.
At times, she may even begin to feel like something of a (much, much, much, much older ) big sister who tells you, "Hey, even if you need to sit out a few dances, it's gonna be all right."
One of the reasons I love you! You have such a way with words
And that's so right !
That's exactly how I feel and what happened to me when it comes to several AL songs, just to give you an example.
Ugh, YOU.... are my muse.

This is such a great way to put it. Madonna can come off forbidding and aloof to outsiders but she does know vulnerability and she does get wounded. WE know what a warm, nurturing figure she can be in her work. She'll tell you it's okay to feel what you're feeling, she'll tell you what she's been through and how she got over, and if you really need it she'll kick your ass, but she'll make you feel good.
That last part you mentioned is exactly what makes Madonna so wonderful. She has something to offer for pretty much anything you're feeling. Her thematic palette is so broad. And she has the most empowering catalog of almost any artist I've ever heard. No one else makes dancing and singing and getting up and doing your thinging sound so much like pure self-actualization
She's an artist that grows with you as well. There are the immediate songs that captured us all, then the songs that unfold and let you discover them over time. And there are songs you'll hear now and think "oh okay", then five or ten years from now you hear them and think "oh my God, I know exactly what she's talking about here."
Omg, this part is so well worded!!! Makes me even more excited to dive into her discography.

She isn't called the Queen of Pop for nothing!
I finished listened to self titled, and I loved it tbh. Lucky Star, Borderline, Physical Attraction, Holiday, and Think of Me are my favorites. I wanna relisten a few more times, because I like to be able to look at the title and recognize the chorus and a few of them I can't.
Fans all over the world can vote on Twitter. To post a tweet that counts as a vote, it must contain the following things:
•@NOMINEEHANDLE (@Madonna)
•The name of the category (Tour of the Year)
•#AMAs
For example, a tweet that says “I’m voting for @NOMINEEHANDLE for #AMAs Artist of the Year” counts as a vote. A tweet that says “I’m voting for NOMINEE NAME for #AMAs Artist of the Year” unfortunately doesn’t count because it does not tag the artist’s handle.
Also, just a heads up that you can only vote for one person per tweet. Tweets with more than one nominee’s name in them won’t count as votes for either nominee! That would be so sad and we would hate for that to happen.
You can only vote once a day per platform in each category. If you tweet a vote for the same category twice in one day, only the first vote will count. Check out Voting FAQs here.
Voting closes on November 14 at 8:59 AM PST. The AMAs ceremony will air on ABC on November 20 at 8 PM
