You guys gotta realize that people get the single when they pre-order the album, which is really cheap and you don't have to pay til April 30. And those don't count towards single sales, but for album sales once it gets released.
She's proven she can sing and perform any genre. If this album flops then they can just do the obvious R&B or ballad album. But she's very talented, so they're just going for the biggest genre right away.
