How about you read what I actually say before saying "I tried it"? I didn't try anything, I'm not from the US and I already said I don't follow his radio/chart success I just listen to his music, I genuinely didn't know he'd be gain her any airplay by featuring

Ne-Yo is a well established artist in mainstream radio, Karma. He had several hits in the past three years as a feature artist. "Give Me Everything" & "Let Go" are his most recent ones, and they were huge summer smashes in their respective year. This should help her in the long run. It was a smart decision by Interscope to add a feature. Normally you don't see Idol alums doing well lately relatively outside the gate, besides the past two winners but this case is different with Jessica. They have so far marketed well. They aren't treating her like the past Idol alum signings (Haley, Pia, etc)

I'm not trying to sound like a complainer but this music is not what I expected from her I thought her sound would be more R&B with a lil' pop influences. But some of the songs sound great. I don't know how she will do... we will see tho.

She's proven she can sing and perform any genre. If this album flops then they can just do the obvious R&B or ballad album. But she's very talented, so they're just going for the biggest genre right away.
