I think this is a song the fans are going to find incredibly satisfying. I hesitate to use the term "classic Mariah" but my first thought was that it's more like the first album than anything she's done in a while. That said - it's also super current. There's a beat that knocks under the verses that sounds very radio friendly. I think the critics will really appreciate it because it's so layered and the song has several segments. Vocals are out of this world and she's singing with passion. It's not Mariah grasping at trends - it's all the things people love about Mariah.
I still don't know much about her (who the **** is Nick?!), but I can't believe they didn't promote MIAM, it's amazing.
WAITTT I use you. Welcome to the base, but why did you waste money on that vile trash MIAMCOW? Could have spend it on Daydream, or Godbracelet. Even Memoirs slays hard.
J/K. MIAMCOW gave me Dedicated, which is in my top 10 Mariah songs.

Wait!!! This is so reminiscent of the days when TMB was kept so secret, and all the insiders were so excited about this song because she's never done a song like this before.
I am not ready for this era, now without Nick instigating her career.
I'm glad you're finally seeing the light! But it sounds to me like maybe you haven't listened to Memoirs? You should play that next.
If she can make an album using her whistles as all the melodies themselves This is just bliss.. pun intended.

Don't think she can ever top Butterfly for me!
This is subjective. I personally think all Mariah albums are equally all majestic. Just that it depends on what mood I'm in that determines which ones are of importance, while paying dust to others... I have not listened to Music Box and Glitter, in a very long time, so watch me bitch about how these suck now, and then a few months later, hail them as the best thing she's ever done. I'm bipolar like that with her music, kind of like many ice cream flavours to choose from every week.

No one of importance.
Just like every other 14-week charting #1 who TRIED it with the legendary 20 year old record. But to admit, I was quite rattled by Uptown Funk
Been listening to Cry and Faded on repeat today because I've been missing the guy who I fell deeply in love with last summer. Those songs will forever remind me of him.
