With at least 1 performance, it would have easily gone.
It already was #1 on Pop, Radio, Dance, HAC & Digital songs. Let's not act like it was on the bottom Top10

I'm an Ivy League student concentrating in neuroscience. I have lots of friends, and I get a lot of ass. I mean the original version is great. This is just beyond obvious and it's becoming overbearing. I'm tired of these last minute remixes just to score number one hits. What's the point? Michael Jackson didn't have to release remixes in order to score hits, so why should their records even be comparable to each other?

Did you read what I wrote? LFN only needed a performance, it would have gone #1 either way. (This new remix proves that Capitol is desperate, they wanted that #1 and it HAD to go #1, by remixes or by promotion. They just went with the easy route)

I love how Katy stans love to say Katy has agency in her career when it comes to songwriting, image, marketing, etc. yet when it comes to cheap tactics the blame is entirely on the label. Interesting.
