I only wish Hillary would keep the status quo when it comes to Israel. I have a feeling she's going to be mending things after Obama rightfully set the stages of detaching them from the hip.

People on Facebook will flat out refer to Hillary as "$hillary", a "corporate hack", etc. They consistently fail to use credible sources and are just hyperbolic in all of their criticisms. I'm sorry, but this is nothing like a comment section of Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, Reddit, etc. I have yet to see a single person be called a "****ing idiot" for supporting anyone in this thread. Which is one of the many things I've been called for sharing an article on my own Facebook wall.

I don't know what thread you've been reading, but you're certainly wrong about the attacks on Bernie supporters here. I mean, just today we were referred to as "irrational zombies" - this is the latest example that came to mind.
ATRL is very biased towards the Secretary and degrading comments are made on a daily basis. The same bs happens in favor of Bernie outside this website, to be fair.

You find substantial discussion on Reddit though. Look harder than the top comments in "HILLARY FINALLY GOING 2 B BUSTED 4 ILLEGAL EMAILS" threads. It's less of a hivemind than it seems.

I agree, I've been happy to see Obama cut that relationship a bit, but it likely won't last.

I would be OK with Bernie as the Dem candidate in any other election year but not this one. Too important.
I'm not confident he can beat Trump, at all.
Hillary can go down to the gutter to take out Trump if need be. Bernie can barely debate.

I want US politicians to finally start recognizing and taking legitimate action towards the injustices that Israel commits against Palestine, not just the ones that Palestinians commit (which there are a lot of, to be fair).
As the son of a Palestinian refugee, kicked out by the occupation, I can certainly assure you that the picture-perfrct image that many American politicians have painted in regards to Israel is very flawed. Both sides are on the wrong in many ways, I'm not saying cut ties with Israel nor decrease support, but certainly take stricter actions when dealing with the violations they commit on a monthly basis.

There are obvious attacks on Bernie supporters as a whole (unfortunately), but I still do not see it to be as extreme as how I've seen attacks against Hillary. I obviously have a bias perception because I pay more attention to attacks against Hillary. But, literally, I cannot go onto my Facebook without seeing attacks against Hillary and her supporters from people I'm friends with... I don't see that as much for Bernie. If you go to Bernie's Facebook page and look at his post, you never really see Hillary supporters try to overtake the post. I see that all the time on Hillary's posts. It's ridiculous. If you go onto SNL's YouTube page, if Hillary is made fun of then it's "indistinguishable from satire." If Bernie is made fun of in another video, then it's clearly "corporate media" trying to "win" the election for Hillary and attacking Bernie.
Overall, the Internet is so heavily skewed towards Bernie that while ATRL is not the most fair place for Bernie supporters, I do think it's overall more fair in general when you consider everything else.

All Trump would have to do is link that tax calculator that Vox created.
http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politi...alculator-2016
Couple it with pointing out that Bernie was on government assistance until he was 40 and never had a steady career from a job that didn't have "government" written on the check and it would be a WRAP. Dude does not have the political acumen or charisma to withstand that line of attack.

I love seeing many Hillary supporters fantasize about "all Trump has to do" conspiracies, followed by how passionate they are about knowing that Bernie can't argue back against any claim.
The politics of fear, at its finest levels.

Wow @ me going to pay 8K more under Bernie.
What the hell, i thought his stans said it was only going to affect people earning 500K+?
I agree that Trump has so many lines of attack re: Bernie. I mean, look @ how he's going after Ted Cruz's wife *just* for having a mental illness.
When he finds out about Bernie's rape essays.......... its a wrap.

The politics of fear have won elections, time and time again. Ask Dukakis and Kerry.
Bernie knows this quite well too, which is why his campaigned has positioned him as a moral exemplar who MUST be elected to save the soul of Washington or else all is lost.

Lol of course we have reason to fear
Bernie isn't a great (or even decent) politician by any means.
I mean he can't even beat Hillary outright and she's given him the biggest softball campaign of all time

I think Hillary gets a lot of unfair criticism and wouldn't be a bad President, she just wouldn't even attempt to bring the change America needs.
That being said, whilst I do think Bernie has the right intentions; i'm skeptical if he could actually bring any change since the political system is so ****ed up and it's near impossible to achieve anything.
|
You kind of characterise my opinion. I love Bernie a lot but my reservation comes with how he would get things done. Coming from supporting Obama and his "revolutionary" take on issues and then seeing how the actual political system can block the reforms the country (and world) needs, it makes me more skeptical of Sanders. I don't think Hillary is the perfect candidate, but I do think she would do what it takes to make it work. I am also very concerned about Foreign Policy and I think it is fair to say Clinton has the upper hand there.
