Look at how many artists are signed to Major Record labels, only to have their album delayed just because the lead single flopped due to the label not investing $$ in you because they expect you to hit Top 10 right away.

It happens to the legacy acts too, particularly in country music.
Like I was just saying in another thread that Faith Hill was meant to release an album like four years ago, but the label shelved it because neither of the singles gained any traction. Tim McGraw and lots of others have had issues getting music released, too.
That's the one nice thing about Taylor being at Her label. She was the first artist they signed and they didn't even have office furniture when they launched Her first single. Her success literally built that label, and I think She'll always be their #1 priority as long as She's there.
