Katy, Ariana and Meghan have different audiences from Gaga. They have younger fans and Rihanna's music is loved by the general public. No matter what she releases, she'll always smash with a first single. At least she's been doing it since Loud.
Beyoncé has a huge fan base and Britney as well. Gaga too, we shouldn't consider this as a bad thing, let's see if the song has longevity first before jumping into conclusions.

My predictions for her were 120k, and I thought that was being extremely conservative. 91k is abysmal, no matter how you look at it, and pretending that she's meeting expectations with that number is pretty absurd.

Pls, no one expected her to sell more than applause bc of sales decline but 90k is not good. That's 5h territory. Her peers are doing almost double that.

I am in no way saying she's meeting expectations but she isn't doing 50,000 on her first week. That would be sad, indeed.
