In terms of success, yes. But she can do so much better in terms of quality of a song.

Thats what I meant. Every song she releases should make the amount of number 1 that Stronger did.

I want a my life would suck without you part 2. More lyric wise. I'm tired of the breakup anthems. I want a love song!

She either needs to change her sound production to dance, techno pop OR her song themes that's far away from heartbreak or empowerment through heartbreak :/
Either way she needs to mix it up! No more pop rock bitter songs.

Kii.
You must be delusional. And to say that about you favorite 13th most played artist on Last.FM? It's already #6 on iTunes with dark green updates which Kelly hasn't seen in a while with Dark Side, which is sitting at #98. The verge of getting kicked off.
Diamonds and Die Young will most definitely be contenders for Kelly, especially since they're huge digital sellers, which Kelly isn't. But if Kelly wants a shot a breaking through, she has to bring her A game with an upbeat track again. No one is gonna be here for a slow lead single by her, especially with Dark Side flopping.

I dont see the hype around Try. It'll do well on charts bc of her fanbase but prob wont stay up on top for long
She shouldve released True Love ft Lily Allen...sure-fire smash. But i have no doubt she'll release this later on.

Truth. But only because they have much larger fanbases than Kelly. If Kelly comes out with the good upbeat single, It might not outcompete sales but definetly radio airplay!

You're comparing debut singles to a 3rd single
Anyway Diamonds will be a contender but NOT Die Young. I hope Kelly releases something upbeat too.

Are you seriously comparing a lead single
to a (third) underperforming single?
For the record, every major pop artist lead single shoots to the top 10 of Itunes, Including Kelly (MKIA went #4, Never Again went #3 and Suck went #1). What happens after the hype is the relevant part. Diamond is as mellow as Mr.Know It All, it will probably have more success but it won't have longevity as any of her other lead singles, this is easily her weakest lead single to date. Die Young is a complete rip off from a 2011 song that was overplayed to dead, there is no chance as hell that will survive long.
And if you haven't noticed, a lot of casual fans of Rihanna and Kesha are disappointed with their recent effort, yes they will be a moderate hit at most (Because of their name and hype) but it won't do any major and they will for sure not hit number one.

MKIA made it into the top 10 almost 24 hours after release. I wouldn't call that "shooting up". Don't be silly.

I can't at Kevin trying very hard to win his MKIA award. At his faux Rihanna love. At his faux Britney love.
Kevin, I like you, but SO much about you has become contrived and try hard.
Ke$ha may have not delivered the hot song people wanted but it's generic as **** and the GP are gonna feed into it, especially since she's been out of the scene for a while and she's the only one with a newly released upbeat song. You claim Rihanna's lead singles have no longevity and yet has WFL, Umbrella under her belt, 10 and 7 weeks at #1. When will Kelly? Even her other singles were on the charts and year end charts for the longest time while Kelly dropped the **** off after the month MLWSWY debuted. Breakaway can't be your receipts for everything. That was three eras ago.
In the end, Kelly has a new image and she needs to continue that new image with a new sound. With that two together, she will be unstoppable. But for now, it is ridiculous to count out the two biggest digital sellers who are charting high on the lists right now.

It was released on a Tuesday at midnight... didn't make it into the top 10 until the next day, and climbed (and peaked) at #4 by the second day.
Diamonds was release 5 hours ago, and it already in the top 10 and still climbing.
Your Body is a better comparison to MKIA.

Just saw this. What kind of Queen?
By tonight Diamonds will be #1, and Ke$ha will be #2. Especially with TayTay decreasing.
