Gurls, it's save to say that Kelly has no competition out there now. Your Body, Die Young and Diamonds are all going to underperform
Let's just hope Kelly will deliver.

Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson and more to perform at CMA Awards
ABC has announced the first crop of performers for the 46th Annual CMA Awards and it’s shaping up to be a powerhouse show.
Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, and Little Big Town will all take the stage on Nov. 1. Aldean currently holds the title for CMA Album of the Year and shared the prize for Musical Event of the Year with Clarkson for their duet “Don’t You Want to Stay.” Meanwhile, Clarkson has received a nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year, though she faces some tough competition from Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood. Bentley is up for three awards — Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year — while Little Big Town has also received a trio of nods for Single of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
Tickets for the CMA Awards will go on sale on Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. CT. You can purchase themhere.

Nice to have confirmation on this. I have a feeling she's going to perform Mr.Know It All though

It might be MKIA, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be something else.
I think people totally forgot her 'Duets' connection. The executive producer for Duets, Robert Deaton, is also the executive producer for the CMA's. She can do whatever she wants and they'd most likely allow her to do it.

Totally expected this, but SO excited to have confirmation! I don't think she will sing MKIA, regardless of how the awards show usually works. The song is over a year old and it's not like she received a nomination for that song specifically. I really am hoping they are planning to release a brand new Country song that will be on the GH as well as a Pop song in the coming weeks. Then she can perform the new Country song on the CMAs and it will do wonders for her!
I know y'all might not want a Country song on her GH, but as a bonus, it could REALLY propel the album to sell if it's opened up to a whole new market.

She hasn't performed the country version yet and she is nominated because of that song (well kinda) so she is probably going to sing that. And I honestly don't mind. I'm dying to hear it live.
Pretty sure they will put the country version of MKIA on the greatest hits record as well.
ETA: Oh and if Carrie is hosting again I hope she doesn't (accidentally) forget to announce Kelly.

My thoughts exactly. Diamonds is not bad, but she sounds mad weird. Though I will give her props for always coming out with something new and leading radio trends as Edge said
Anybody hear Leona Lewis's "Glassheart"? It's a WHYB 2.0, and I think if she releases it in US (since she's now part of RCA), it might be a sneaky chart topper

I dont think she's going to sing DYWS at CMA at all, it's been performed so many times and it's old! MKIA is probable but thats old too. Though i'd like to see her perform it
I think she's gonna cover a classic country song. Something to make her say she can do country just as well

TSWR feat Miranda Lambert would slay me...I wouldn't be surprised if we see an additional collab with Aldean at the show. Maybe some sort of 'mash-up'
Picture this. Aldean singing his new single. He finishes, Kelly walks out and they perform DYWS. They finish, Aldean leaves. Kelly starts a short/modified country version of MKIA, then Miranda Lamber comes out and they perform TSWR countrified.

Yeah, knowing the CMAs, I think it will be MKIA. I'm Excited though
I'd like a new country song on her GH as well. I think if she releases a proper country song, and not a remix (although a great one), she will go top 10 on country radio. Honestly, she should've released more songs from Stronger to country radio.

It's not going to be DYWS, I'm pretty much sure of that, she performed it at the 2010 CMAs and Jason has a new single out.

Breaking your own heart feat. Jason Aldean
DYWS 2.0
Also yes, the bbest released this week is DY and isn't perfect to be a great super hit, Kelly has chances to slay with her 1st lead dance single
And I didn't know about that connection between Duets-CMA maybe that's the reason for a possible award for Kelly

It really is the best time! All the new singles from Pink, xtina, Rihanna, and Kesha are lackluster.

I've heard Glassheart and I don't like it although I like Leona I liked her old style more. I don't think it'd be a threat to Kelly's lead single.

About Pink, BLow Me and Try will be moderate hits but if she releases Sl*t Like You will be a great competition for Kelly. But anyways Kelly's first single is the competition for Try, they both will be send to adds the same week so, no problem
