Nicki needs to STOP.
I cringe every damn time she does this.
She is always hollering about people getting mad about her provocative behavior when she KNOWS it's going to happen before hand. Like, SCREAMING at a music legend on TV and then acting shocked when people react, YES there was a lot going on there but damn, she makes it HARD to stan for her.
Posting a trashy pic like that to advertise your music is NO DUHH going to be seen as s****y and cheap, but the good sis did it any way and BAM people got mad, and now she is once again she resorts to being the lowest common denominator of major music acts, and look what happens.
The Pinkprint had BETTER be quality.

You can equate a guy being shirtless with a girl showing her boobs/ass, in terms of sexualization.

Nicki's on a one woman crusade to defy the standards of the past decades. Trailblazer.

I get where Nicki is going, but the photos she used in comparison were wrongly chosen.
Given she had chosen photos of White women or black women (assuming this isn't about race) with more developed asses, maybe people would see her point.
You can't equate what she did, with women in swim suit adds wearing swin suits, and sports magazines that are meant to be sexy.
But then again, Nicki might be wearing what she's wearing because of the song.
It's complicated.

Yeah, the main issue I have is that she shouldn't be defensive or trying to use race or sexism because the purpose of this cover was to get attention.
She chose a provocative cover to garner controversy
Some of my barbz are praising her for something that anyone and everyone can do and I understand from a limited way why but all i nall this was done to get attention and put her single ona higher platform.
The fact that she has stripped down her image to be more relatable and then switch it to this look is interesting as well.
It can either be because the toned down implicit sexuality didn't take off or she is going to use various extreme elements of her visuals this era.
Either way, the few people that started to warm up to her classier image and just going to get turned off
The GP that saw her toned down image as a stunt are going to easily point to this as a reference to show that she will just go back to raunch as soon as the classier image doesn't work.
I'm here for her continuing to explore different sides and using the extremes to send a message I just would rather it done in a more logical, clever manner.
