Kinda. But I didnt mind it with Born To Die, the production and instruments were still clear to me, in Cola everything is just rolled up together. And it really hurted the clarity of her vocals. SO yeah, Cola is dull except for the end.

I dont think we will agree on this. Burning Desire is the second song for me where her vocals are killed by the production. I guess a few fans of hers may be disappointed in next era, its like someone wants her to go more poppy and upbeat and someone wants her to go stripped-down and acoustic.

Ive already said it here that Ultraviolence sounds like Ride, Cola, Black Beauty direction for me. She said that she didnt like production of some songs on BtD, but Paradise is what she truly wanted. I guess we will have that kind of songs on new more exciting level (ultra-violence). I dont think she will change her sound much, she is not that person.

Im sure Ultraviolence will have clear concept which will connect all songs, like BtD or Paradise. Maybe new long music videos or even mini movie ?

I don't care a lot about the direction tbh, I love vast majority of her demos, BTD, Paradise, even Sirens grew on me... the girl can do whatever she wants and I will love it

It doesnt sound like the new era will be very GP-friendly honestly. But as long as she gets more critical-acclaim, I dont care. I dont want Electra Heart mess here, (Sorry Marina´s fans). Its not true that you must have the biggest sales in label to be able to produce great music. Honestly, the xx, Beach House, Susanne Sundfor >>>>> anything that major pop stars release.
