All of them were deserving but Fearless was the weakest winner.
And I can't believe 25 people voted for the masterpiece that is The Suburbs.

The most acclaimed albums of the year - Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, The xx, Dirty Projectors, even Neko Case - were not stepping FOOT into the General Field. It was the year where the division between the critics choices and the popular choices was most clear. Only Taylor and (if nominated) Maxwell would have bridged the gap.
Or Kings of Leon, if the album had been released six weeks later. If it had have been released in the 08-09 eligibility period, they would have won the Big Three. I have no doubts about that.

Came here to post this. A damn mess.
The Suburbs is one of if not the best album on this list. I wonder how many people that actually voted actually listened to the album .
After looking at the names the album ****'s on most of their faves discographies.

Taking The Long Way...umm I dunno. I think that year has some politics involved but I don't really mind country taking over the Grammys.
River: The Joni Letters - Herbie Hancock...it kind of pissed me off when I found out that this wins. Amy is in streak and then this cover album steals the spotlight and leave people's jaws open.
Fearless...That year's nominees is kind of ******. BEP lined up with DMB, Gaga and Bee is way too ****ed up. That album screams "Please we want to be known again". Back to Fearless, the album clearly DOES NOT DESERVE the Album Of The Year. Don't throw me those Metacritic scores, awards won, etc. It's like Fearless is one cute little puppy having a contest with a bulldog, an alligator, a hawk, and a snake. Voters voted the "puppy" because its "cute". I think Bee or Gaga should've won the award. But on the other note, I'll take this over The E.N.D.
21..,This is some kind of "it-deserves-but-not" case. In the era of unending dance-pop songs, she come in the spotlight and sings heartbreaking songs with unbelievable vocals and lyrics that people can relate to. The tracks are awesome and I don't really mind that it won. The voters are kinda tired of the same music so I think they voted this because it kinda change the radio rotation. The problem is, as the previous poster said, it's all the same. Same heartbreak songs. Same same same love songs with sad tune. The rest of the nominees has some diversity in the content which 21 doesn't have. I still think that Kanye is snubbed here BIG TIME. MBDTF is clearly the album of the year but he ****ed it up and submit Watch The Throne.

Fearless by Taylor Swift
-The MOST AWARDED album in the history of Country Music.
The pressed can stay ranting, be mesmerized and drool over Taylor and her gongs.

Fearless, no questions asked. It may not be my least favourite of the bunch, but it is the most formulaic.

Going for the technical answer, Herbie should have not won against Back to Black or Graduation but seeing as how it didn't affect me as much as Taylor Swift winning did, I voted for Fearless. Given the list of nominees, It made sense but there were way better albums out there.

Adele - 21 , don't get me wrong I LOVE the album however the 3 other artists put in so much more work and diversity. I expected Gaga or Bruno to win. The albums are more deservant, even the Foo Fighters had a better , more worked on album. ( I realize that Rihanna was nominated, but did anyone really expect her to win?)
