85 · CHRISTINA PERRI, "Burning Gold"
Weeks on Chart: 3 Weeks
Peak Position: #19
Debut Date: August 23, 2014
Ever since "A Thousand Years" was released, I've been constantly following Christina's releases. This time, she released something different and experimental. It was good and charming, but I still long for those heartwarming ballads. Still a worthy effort nevertheless.
♫ "I'm setting fire to the life that I know. Let's start a fire everywhere that we go. We starting fires till our lives are burning gold." ♫

84 · CHERYL COLE f/ TINIE TEMPAH, "Crazy Stupid Love"
Weeks on Chart: 4 Weeks
Peak Position: #06
Debut Date: August 2, 2014
Cheryl makes her final bow on the list this year with the catchy "Crazy Stupid Love". To be honest, I find the track under-produced yet extremely catchy and irresistible. The hooks were definitely fun-to-sing-with and the beats were compelling.
♫ "'Well, I don't know how you do it to me. You make my brain just stop, sink my part to my feet. It's like a roller coaster, but I'm going up." ♫
2013: DIA FRAMPTON, "Walk Away" |

83 · SHEPPARD, "Geronimo"
Weeks on Chart: 2 Weeks
Peak Position: #08
Debut Date: August 16, 2014
Here comes a track that I never expected to chart. I am not much into Australian music and discovering this track was just an accident. Nevertheless, I find this track one of my guilty pleasures this year. The hooks are insanely repetitive and catchy!
♫ "When I lost it, you held my hand. But I tossed it, didn't understand you were waiting as I dove into the waterfall." ♫
2013: AUSTIN MAHONE, "Say Somethin" |

82 · KARMIN, "I Want It All"
Weeks on Chart: 8 Weeks
Peak Position: #06
Debut Date: February 22, 2014
Karmin takes a break from rapping and tries out funk through "I Want It All". This direction was quite shocking yet impressive. The duo definitely pulled off a great funky track. Amy definitely delivered amazing vocals. Sadly, it did not become as remarkable as their previous efforts.
♫ "You get me excited but I keep it private. My world is divided, without you it won't be the same. Can't take it." ♫
2013: JASON MRAZ, "The Woman I Love" |

81 · JENNIFER LOPEZ f/ FRENCH MONTANA, "I Luh Ya PaPi"
Weeks on Chart: 5 Weeks
Peak Position: #10
Debut Date: March 22, 2014
After placing within the Top 30 since 2011, J. Lo finally missed the cut and settled on mediocre spots this year. A lot of people were disappointed with this single and I would add myself to that list. I know J. Lo can pull off something better than this. Nevertheless, there was still a time this year I was bopping to this.
♫ "I put it down for a brother like you. Give it to you right in the car, that's you. We can first give you some of this, that's you." ♫
2013: CASSADEE POPE, "Wasting All These Tears" |

IGGY AZALEA f/ CHARLI XCX, "Fancy"
Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song Ever
Iggy Azalea wins big time after snatching both Rap/Hip-Hop artist and single awards. I wasn't really hooked much into "Fancy" during the time of its release, but it definitely grew on me a lot over the year. The verses were slaying and the chorus was extremely fancy. Ultimately, one of the breakout singles this year.
RUNNER-UP: IGGY AZALEA f/ RITA ORA, "Black Widow" |
