Just listened to Dan's exit interview. I actually kind of feel a bit sad for him because he's so much of a lost cause. I understand that editing probably left out anything that could have endeared us more towards Dan, but what gets me is that he still seems to not take ownership for what he's said and done. Where was the apology? He's just so untactful. Instead of apologizing for his treatment of Shirin, he tries to explain and defend himself. He even says he's upset with the way commentators, like Rob, have treated him throughout the season. Well how were people supposed to respond to him? Why should others treat him with grace and tact when he appears to be displaying no such diplomacy? Editing is one thing, but production did not force him to act the way he did. Then he calls the women's podcast they did on the misogyny and verbal abuse that occurred this season "man-hating". He really needs multiple lessons on how to be inoffensive and tactful.
And did anyone listen to Wiglesworth's interview? That was another mess in it of itself. Why couldn't she take the time to speak to Rob for another twenty minutes or so? The whole thing really begged the question why she's coming back. Like, no internet or television in her household? I can't. Lemme stop voting for her and throw my vote to someone else. She's probably a lock, anyway. But I imagine that interview was quite worrying for her fans.
