Glad that Murray and Serena have responded. Djokovic is trying to do damage control by snapping a photo with Billie Jean King and Chris Evert after a 30-minute talk, but the reality is that he still truly believes in his statement. He keeps repeating that he never meant to cause controversy or for people to take his statements the wrong way, but that reveals that he is more worried about people's reactions (read: to save face and maintain his endorsements/marketability). He still doesn't see his beliefs as problematic. He needs to be deposed from his ranking, unfortunately this will not happen given the incredibly weak state of the ATP. Ironic that Djokovic is the main beneficiary of this yet fails to realize that the women are regularly playing at a higher quality than the ATP, which has upstarts like Raonic and Coric, both of whom pale in comparison to the skills of WTA newcomers like Kasatkina and Bencic.
Wow, at first I thought you are just a hater, but now I'm sure that actually you are delusional hater.
I also forgot that Djokovic's half-baked apology reveals his incredible hypocrisy. No where in his original comments did he mention anything related to more equal distribution of prize money in terms of benefiting the lower-ranked players, which he has now tried to frame his words as. But let's go with that. He believes that the less successful journeymen and women should receive more money at tournaments. Yet doesn't this directly contradict his earlier statements that players should be paid based on the revenue they create, or basically, how popular they are and how many tickets they sell? Why should these less accomplished players earn more money when they add nothing to the viewership of the sport?
Djokovic is just digging a deeper hole for himself. I think it's time for people to accept that what he said was misogynistic and stop making excuses for him or accuse anyone who recognizes this plain fact as delusional. It's the other way around, in my opinion.
You don't win 17 grand slam titles or the Career Grand Slam by being a choker in big matches.
The thing is you're the typical hater using a mistake to try to diminish a person's achievements. He was wrong so he apologized, so stop trying to paint him as an evil person as a way of letting out the anger you have against him for neglecting your fave many GS titles among others. It is not healthy, hun.
