Mess at people calling Novak sexist, while he CLEARLY didn't mean to be sexist. Nothing sexist in his comment, just another made up reason by haters to hate him more
Dem girls are shook
Fume. He will become the best tennis player in history in next two years, and nobody will touch his legacy near future
Damn, he already changed tennis history couple of times. Keep fuming

He clearly has said sexist things regarding women. He may not be sexist but that doesn't excuse his nasty attitude

Up until yesterday, I was hig biggest fan. He was by far my favourite male player. However, his comments were misogynistic and ignorant.
Whereas, my impression of Andy Murray increased tenfold after hearing is inspiring words. What a gentlemen he is. Incredible!

Dear all,
I typically use this page to share my excitement with you, especially after big wins.
But this time I had to take a few deep breaths before addressing you. As you may have seen, I was asked to comment on a controversy that wasn’t of my making. Euphoria and adrenalin after the win on Sunday got the best of me and I’ve made some comments that are not the best articulation of my view, and I would like to clarify them.
As you all know, I care deeply about the future of the game and all of the players. Tennis helped me so much in my life and being where I am today, I felt the need to speak about the fairer and better distribution of funds across the board - this was meant for both men and women. We all have to fight for what we deserve. This was never meant to be made into a fight between genders and differences in pay, but in the way all players are rewarded for their play and effort.
Tennis is a sport that I love and that gave me the opportunity to help others who still have a long way to go to achieve their dreams. This was my view all along and I want to apologize to anyone who has taken this the wrong way.

Andy was always King. I absolutely love him and you could tell his words were genuine because he's proved it with actions
But I don't know why sychung is dragging, Fed is no different than Novak . Maybe Rafa too, idk
edit: Rafa too on the female Davis cup captain from 2014. Jeez

Murray has always been a proponent of equal rights for women, unlike other players. The fact that he hired Mauresmo says a lot.
And for the record, the top 10 are:
1. Roger Federer
2. Rod Laver
3. Pete Sampras
4. Roy Emerson
5. Bill Tilden
6. Rafael Nadal
7. Ken Rosewall
8. Bjorn Borg
9. Fred Perry
10. William Renshaw

Federer has always praised women's tennis. Can't say the same about Djokovic.

He has and I'm glad about t. But I was referring to him calling Lauren Davis and Maria Sharapova "bitches" and saying he doesn't know who Althea Gibson was when they paid tribute to her at the US Open as he wanted to play his match

And it wasn't even a real apology. Much like Sharapova's WADA statements (except hers are actually legitimate!). Djokovic basically said let people believe what they want to believe, I'm not here to cause any controversy -- but shh! I still believe women don't believe equal pay!

I think the Althea Gibson thing has more to do with his lack of knowledge of tennis history. He's likely to know more about Laver, Rosewall, Renshaw, etc. by virtue of being a male and having broken their records.
As for the expletive, that was obviously not his best moment. However, not that he should be excused, that was more of a locker room language alongside buddy Dimitrov. And I don't think saying that one word equates to him not believing in equal pay.

Glad that Murray and Serena have responded. Djokovic is trying to do damage control by snapping a photo with Billie Jean King and Chris Evert after a 30-minute talk, but the reality is that he still truly believes in his statement. He keeps repeating that he never meant to cause controversy or for people to take his statements the wrong way, but that reveals that he is more worried about people's reactions (read: to save face and maintain his endorsements/marketability). He still doesn't see his beliefs as problematic. He needs to be deposed from his ranking, unfortunately this will not happen given the incredibly weak state of the ATP. Ironic that Djokovic is the main beneficiary of this yet fails to realize that the women are regularly playing at a higher quality than the ATP, which has upstarts like Raonic and Coric, both of whom pale in comparison to the skills of WTA newcomers like Kasatkina and Bencic.

Not McHale serving peak Wozniacki with the backhand and retrieving against Serena.
