Ok. She is not doing outstanding numbers... but c'mon 160.000 tickets from 14 shows... means 500.000 tickets in the 41 north american leg shows.... And around 40M $ in the end for the leg.

She did less than that in her last tour... She did less shows. So that means growth even if they are not 100% sold out.

It is really bad. For someone who has been 10 years in busines she really is underperforming. There are so many dates where she performed in front of around 10k people - that really is bad. She is rihanna not some relatively fresh act. I mean beyonce can sell out stadiums and she cannot sell out arenas! It is even ok not to sell out arena or have like 90% sold out tickets if it is a big arena. But performing in front of 10k (+/-) audience...cmon.

Not to mention cancelled shows.

She is not selling albums, not even singles any more, and not even tickets! Streaming is only thing she has got.
This tour underoerfomance is really surprising though.

90% for an artist of Rihanna's caliber is bad. Rihanna has been in the industry for over ten years and has solidified a name for herself. She should be selling out every single venue. Even Gaga sold out during the disastrous ARTPOP era and Rihanna hasn't received 1/10th of the backlash as Gaga did back then.

Obviously it's not like, "omg, Rihanna's career is over" but the number are disappointing.

Her team/the promoters are obviously telling her that the shows are sold out. The arenas are packed. Billboard says only 76% of the tickets were sold for the Buffalo show, which is hard to believe when you look at the pics.

Gaga was selling out what? She just opened less seats.

I mean... Rihanna is doing a million per show. in the US (she did a tour in the US in 2014) and another tour at the end of 2013.

So now if she does not make Beyonce's numbers she is not doing well enough?

I dont see her complaining about her tour gross or performance. She doesnt look bothered to me

Overall, not bad numbers per say. But for someone like Rihanna, one is to expect a bit more. She really shouldn't be playing 10k arenas. You would think an artist of her caliber would be able to perform in bigger arenas.
