And bit lower than I was expecting. Very surprised about NY numbers though - surprised she wasn't able to sell out NYC at least.

But slay

Her Vancouver show should be sold out when the numbers are released! I checked the day of out of sheer curiosity and there were no tickets left for me to 'buy'
we better stan, she should just move here

If they open more seats the day of the show , the show is technically sold out.

Not worried about the numbers since they keep releasing more seats for all of the shows since they were technically sold out. Europe numbers will do great.

The first leg yes, both legs combined did like $36.5M. So tge ANTI tour will likely gross more.

I don't understand the "last minute tickets" argument. For the shows above, literally 1000+ tickets are available, in Tampa and Buffalo there are almost 3,000 empty seats.

Some of those venues actually hold nearly 30,000 but, they only use one third of the capacity. If they sell out before the show then they may add thousand or a few thousand more seats. If they add 3000 more seats the day of the show most likely the majority of those seats won't be filled.

Well, if you add 3,000 tickets the day of the show those tickets obviously won't be sold out and most people like to have sold out shows. When Rihanna's looking for sponsors for her next tour, I'm sure she won't like having to explain why 0% of the shows are sold out and have so many tickets leftover. I don't think whoever is selling the tickets would sabotage her like this, because her tour is done by livenation, and they report almost everyone's concerts as sold out.

I'm sure her next tour will be sponsored just fine. Thanks for your concern.

Most people like money. If you have a capacity of 10,000 and you can get several hundred more or a thousand more in at the last minute are you going to walk away from extra cash in order to say the sold out?
Sponsors look at the bottom line, not how many shows sold out.

One would think selling out or having a higher gross would be a breezy in the country she has 14 #1s...

I thought the myth was always that the promotors gauge a sold out number and then anything else after that is just a bonus?

One thing that always made me wonder is that a show that has 2 shows, sometimes you see an odd number in the tickets available, which makes no sense since its the same setup.
