Let's not act like Prince was anything but a legacy act prior to his death. Nothing wrong with that and it seems like Madonna might be heading in that direction based on the GPs lack of interest in new music from her, but he was hardly a massive force in music. His career stalled after Emancipation until a brief mini resurgence with Musicology and 3121. He released some great music in that the time period between those and afterwards, but it was generating very little attention.
