However Will Wright left Maxis in 2009 and the company didn't work in The Sims 3 project (that explains why it was so ******) so EA has been in charge of everything ever since TS3 and that's when the decline started, because Maxis/Wright wasn't part of the project AT ALL. Maxis did return for Showtime and latter EPs, but is not the same since Will has left the project altogether and I doubt he'll even wants to return since EA ruined it.
But you tried though. at you having the NERVE to throw that unfounded shade at me

First thing:

EA Maxis is a subsidiary of Electronic Arts (EA)

Second thing:

In 2004, Maxis' longtime studios in Walnut Creek were officially closed,[2] and the staff moved to EA offices in Redwood City.

Which is when Maxis as a company stopped appearing on The Sims games,
2004:
2005:
and it was all summed up as EA. The company Maxis operated under EA, but the company still existed. It was the same team, just operating under EA instead of Maxis (developer) and EA (publishing).
The Maxis team worked on the Sims 3 as well.
It was the exact same group of people, who were STILL working under EA. They renamed themselves The Sims Studio, which was the same people who were a part of Maxis.

Particularly, Will Wright and Maxis were not involved in the development of the latest title in the series, The Sims 3, although many developers of former Maxis products remained involved in its production.

Basically saying the majority of the
former Maxis group (meaning people who left Maxis when they started working on Spore), worked under the Sims Studio instead. So it wasn't new people. It was the same Maxis team, who left Maxis the company.
Just the company Maxis itself, with Will Wright focused on Spore. But the actual group of people were the same (just bigger of course) and became the Sims Studio. The Sims Studio, was still separate from EA publishing.
Also notice how this page says: "Developed by The Sims Studio (aka Maxis team) and published by EA"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sims_3
Which basically proves what I said to be correct and yours wrong.
Maxis as company reunited with The Sims Studio to become EA Maxis. Which was basically EA acquiring Maxis as a development company for good, rather than having the Sims Studio and Maxis operating as two different entities on the same project.
In Short:
The company name changed. The people didn't.
EA was never the developer of The Sims. They just acquired the developers of The Sims from Maxis when the leader of Maxis (Will) wanted to do something different and his team didn't.
You're wrong. So your whole "You tried though, you had the NERVE" etc. little meltdown at the end was for nothing.

Also, Will Wright created the Sims. But most of the stuff for The Sims was from the development team.
