Yeah, they are. If EA announce it's actual gameplay footage, it HAS to be. They can't sell you a product that isn't what they said it was.

That's why the official Sims 3 gameplay pics are so much worse than the "promo images" because they can't actually say "this is a gam play pic" if it isn't.

Basically because everyone's jumped on The Sims 4 hate bandwagon, and attacking things we have proof are better. When we emulate what The Sims 3 can do and what The Sims 4 can do, the Sims 4 comes out on top.

I AM disappointed in this game, but for me, it's still fixing the problems I had with The Sims 3, even if it's missing features. I'm more disappointed in what it's lacking, but I'm impressed with actual game.

I always wanted a game with neighbourhoods more like the console games, and I seem to get betting that this time.



The console Sims 2 and Sims 2 pets had amazing places to live compared to The Sims 2 PC.
& when The Sims 3 caught up, it didn't do the whole atmospheric thing justice until a few expansions were installed.

I'm getting bored of the Sims 4 haterade circlejerk. We'll all be scrambling to play it when it comes out, let's not kid ourselves. They better learn their lesson this time and not **** up the Sims 5 though. I really believe the rumor/theory that the Sims 4 was originally an online game like Sim City, kind of explains how messy everything is turning out.

It means I don't get kicks from jumping on the hate bandwagon because I'm desperate for social acceptance on my opinion of a video game. Let's have a look a what you highlighted and why you're over exaggerating to the extreme of cringe.

A developer can't claim something is "actual gameplay footage" and have it not be gameplay footage. They could be sued and have to pay damages for every person who bought the game.
EA aren't going to risk that for a Sims games, where the majority of it's users own PCs from 2005 because Mummy won't get them a new one until they go to high school.

If you honestly think the top picture has more detail, I feel extremely bad for you.

Sims fans have literally got exact comparisons of each game, and The Sims 4 does come out on top.

Have you actually played The Sims 2 etc. on PS2? You got actual neighbourhoods and locations you could live in.


You could live on an actual cruise ship.


An underwater dome.


By waterfall and river (something you couldn't do until The Sims 3 and even then it was limited).


Amongst modern apartments.


By the beachside.

Which was all much better than having blue sky backdrops like this:


I guess that's personal opinion :roll eyes: Grass and blue sky looks so much better in general i guess.

I used Gameplay photos from the Sims 3 and Sims 4 with EA as a source so no bias. Wow conspiracy.

Also EA is mainly a publisher for The Sims franchise. It's Maxis who develop the games.
Maxis just operated under EA for the end of The Sims 2 and beginning of the Sims 3

That's the actual problem worth complaining about.

People are more concerned about worrying over whats confirmed, when 70% of the game is still unknown. That's whats to get angry about.
You don't what you're buying until you got it, really. It's extremely messy.

They are probably working on The Sims 5 right now too, so hopefully they are learning what not what to do. They worked on The Sims 4 a year before The Sims 3 came out

Lies. Actually Maxis was founded by Will Wright who is the creator of the series, Maxis was owned by EA ever since 1997, which explains why the first 2 games were perfection since his comapny actually developed them the first 2 series entirely

However Will Wright left Maxis in 2009 and the company didn't work in The Sims 3 project (that explains why it was so ******) so EA has been in charge of everything ever since TS3 and that's when the decline started, because Maxis/Wright wasn't part of the project AT ALL. Maxis did return for Showtime and latter EPs, but is not the same since Will has left the project altogether and I doubt he'll even wants to return since EA ruined it.
