So, the Spectre teaser trailer just came out (and it was amazing, by the way; so excited for the new film). No new song, but there are a lot of rumors circulating that Adele is involved with it. I really hope she is, but I want her album first. Regardless, though, this drought has been way too long. I'm desperate for ANYTHING right now. This is ridiculous. The album's gotta be close to being finished.

Not to mention, Bond themes are usually not big hits to begin with (she got lucky with Skyfall because of the timing) and she's been gone for so long that this one would definitely underperform since it's not for her new album. Not the best way to start off an era that is so anticipated.

I said it already before, I think she is a musical and visual adviser for the Bond film and she has chosen FKA Twigs to dance and a male singer for the song.
Releasing the album and then afterward throwing in another Bond theme while she's on top of the charts wouldn't be awful. But I really don't want it the other way around or with no album at all. As Mike said, it'd completely unecessarily steal any remaining album interest, will be set for failure after Skyfall, and could lead to serious public backlash (giving a Bond song alone would look like a lazy effort and be a serious disappointment after how long this wait's been).
