The Pink Print would've been a better example. It evolved from PNP to Bang Bang to Anaconda to Only to Bed of Lies before the album was even released. With leaks being as fast as they are now, artists seem to be releasing music much, much quicker.
Kelly Clarkson did HBS and then released every single song from her album early so that way it wouldn't leak.
It's a double-edged sword. If they find a single that sticks, they've basically got to move in ASAP and release the album so that way it affects it BB200 positions. But it also means those throw away singles that had moderate success prior don't really affect the BB200 positions and limit the album's chances to get more singles.
Then again, Larry doesn't know what a computer is so I'm sure he hasn't really thought that far ahead.
