Stop acting like you knew me please
But if it makes you sleep better is all jokes, I'm not racist at all, I just don't really care what a pop forum thinks about me

Good f***** bye. You can't just ignore the fact that millions more of innocents could have contracted this while you sit behind your cushy computer pointing out the word "probably" just to desperately try and support your already ridiculous beliefs. All I am stating are scientific based arguments. I really don't see why you keep trying so hard to discredit what I am saying.

Once again its not even NATIVES. It really not in any groups blame. All it took was ONE native hunter to contract it and spread it to ONE sex worker and from there is was spread. Nothing more and nothing less. From there you can't confine it to a single race. Thats why I cannot comprehend how this thread turned into what it has.
|
this is definitely true. i don't think there's any way of knowing who the original carrier of HIV was (or maybe there were multiple), and poor sanitation of food was pretty common all around the world at that time, so it really could have been anyone, native or not.

I can't at this thread with such an interesting topic being ruined by a black socially inept guy blaming "white people".
What if the virus was caught by a black sex slave and then it infected an innocent white guy? Can we blame an entire race for that? Of course not, also, we will never know.

White people have throughout history perpetuated racism to the fullest, more so than any other country in the world. Nobody claims that racism didn't exist in areas without white people, but it is UNDENIABLE that the biggest problem with racism are white people.
Now the thing is that when somebody says something like this, your initial reaction is not to think about the actual racism, but to immediately go and somehow find an excuse "oh no but look there are also these people who did this" "oh no look white people aren't guilty because there are others who did it before them"
It's the typical narrative of a white person to make up excuses when accused of being racist instead of saying "wait, what was it that i said that was racist?"
Do y'all see how literally every answer in this thread is just avoiding the general thesis, and providing excuses or anything that will steer away from racism or anything bad being tied to white people

It's not a "theory" that white people, the British in particular, introduced and brought with them diseases that affected EVERY SINGLE INDIGENOUS area they occupied. This is fact.
The Aborigines of Australia & The Native Americans, for example, were victims of such foreign diseases.
Historically, white people had incredibly low hygiene standards - with diseases like the plague etc.
If this African nation had been consuming so called "ape meat" for goddamn near centuries - how curious that the HIV virus only popped up around the time the Belgians settled (according to this source).
The white denial is real.

Obviously no one race is to blame. But, there was a claim that black people were likely at fault because they're poor and more likely to be sex workers, so there's that.

|
Then that person was ignorant for trying to infer about something that happened nearly 100 years ago with limited information and without a source.

When you say something racist to a black person (or Asian / Indian for that matter, but especially black due to the endless mistreatment of them throughout time) it just takes on a new, deeper, more hateful and riddled symbolically meaning.

IS THIS SO HARD TO GRASP? This is precisely why you can't, as a PoC, be racist towards white people. You don't have the power to be racist, because racism can never work in your favor. There's no historical backing of hate, precisely like you said. If you're not in a position of power to be racist, you can only be prejudiced towards someone, not racist.

Whites are the biggest terrorists in history. They are the cause of the majority of the pain and suffering caused in human history.
White people are inherently evil.

Ok but there wasn't AIDS in Europe before either
It was a disease that originated there but spread more easily thanks to colonialism/trade networks
