That's honestly the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. How is Gaga "trying" to be cool? If she cared about being cool I doubt she would of done over half of the things she's done in her career. She smokes, enjoys it, and wrote a song about it. I'm sure she isn't taking it nearly as seriously as you are. This is a fun and lighthearted song in her mind I'm sure.

And just because, according to you, Rihanna is "cooler" than Gaga doesn't make it any jess unnecessary how she talks about smoking 24/7 and blasts it all over her social networks. That comes off as extremely try hard to people. Way more so than having 1 song about smoking on your album. Gaga isn't talking about how she's smoking every day on her Twitter and Instagram pages.
