Frank Ocean isn't that great/I don't get the hype around him. He posted that coming out story right before his album was released to bring attention to himself and increase sales.
Post your unpopular opinions here.
Here are some of mine.
1. Gwen Stefani is the most influential female artist of the last decade. You can see her influence so easily on artists of today like Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Katy Perry. Xtina stole the platinum blonde and fire engine red lips from Gwen & Nicki gets the Harajuku theme from Gwen.
*I don't like that GaGa overhypes her music months before we hear anything from the album. It has made me less excited for ARTPOP than I otherwise would be. Still excited.
*I've grown to love that Rihanna releases yearly music. I love seeing people see her continued success as an anomaly. I think a break wouldn't help her as much as people think.
*Lil Wayne is one of the best rappers of the last 20 years (not unpopular but it is on ATRL - his non pop material that ATRLers don't pay attention to >> )
*Hands All Over is Maroon 5's best album.
*Queen is the most legendary rock band of all time in my eyes. We Are the Champions is the best rock song of all time (not unpopular but w/e).
*My favorite version of Landslide is the Dixie Chicks.
*Blow Me (One Last Kiss) is P!nk's best first single. Try is her best song to date.
*Good Girl Gone Bad has become ridiculously overrated. Rihanna has surpassed that album 4x over now.
1) Katy Perry is not good. at all. her songs are catchy, but thats because of Dr. Luke and her producers, not her. shes very easily replaceable by just about anyone.
2) TLC is the best girls group of all time. NOT the supremes or destiny's child. TLC's music is so much deeper and meaningful than any of the filler those groups put out. not that i dont like a lot of their bops, TLC's are just far greater quality wise.
3) Gwen Stefani would be the biggest pop star in the world right now if she had wanted to be. its so obvious.
4) Britney Spears is the worst reality show judge on TV. (even though i love her as a person and stan for her, its true. her feedback is just horrendous)
5) The Re-Up is one of the best albums of the year.
6) The Beatles are WAY overrated.
"Circus" is one of Britney's worst hits. It was dated before it was released.
If Christina weren't so arrogant she wouldn't get so much hate. Her airheadedness makes her an easy target.
Ke$ha isn't bad, but I think her music, skills, performances and videography have all turned out to be underwhelming and incohesive. She peaked during Animal, and her stans hype up her potential as a pop maverick. I wanted to believe it, but her videos still suck, her ironic persona is let down by her lack of imagination, and as fun as she makes herself out to be, she is probably the least fun thing about her live shows. See, I know people love to hate her, but I don't criticize her based on looks or "talant;" I think she's failed to remain an interesting/smart pop star like she could've been.
Beyonce would be on Ashanti status right now if it wasnt for Matthew Knowles. Its his talents, not her own, that brought her massive worldwide success. Left to her own devices, B cant do as well without him as evidenced by the 4 era
Oh shut up. She got pregnant. That is why the era went awry. She had to rearrange much of what she had planned. She can think for her damn self.

Your thing about K$ is so true. I loved Animal/Cannibal, but I guess that lost its charm & I got too excited. Warrior is disappointing & not interesting at all.
While not as unpopular (seeing as it is popular in this thread somewhat), I don't understand the appeal to Lana Del Rey. Her music, her looks, everything
