It felt like a rosary advert or something but it might resonate well with Middle America. I don't think this video was necessarily for the fans but I feel like the video served its purpose.
Why did she literally do a "The Edge of Glory" and sabotage what could and should be one of her signature hits? You're a pop star and I don't care how authentic and mature you want your image to be, if you release really dull visuals with zero replay value, let alone initial play value, then it's not gonna happen. And I know this is the first era you "haven't been keeping an eye on the charts," but Interscope is not gonna endlessly funnel money into low-charting, unsuccessful singles and videos.
I love you Gaga but this entire era is really not the tea, and is a far cry from the bops on ARTPOP (not that we wanted trashy EDM, but we did at least expect more than 2 dance tracks).
