That's still not the same thing though. An IV calculator works by inputting the numbers that you can visibly see in the game. If you wanna take the time, you can figure out IVs all on your own. If the Pokemon is level 100 it is as easy as subtracting from the maximum possible stat total.
Instacheck checks for values that are not visible in the game at all, because eggs have no stats displayed.
