Soundscan sells subscriptions to labels and companies to see sales of everything. It costs $48,000 a year ($12,000 per quarter) to see sales of everything.
If they just posted sales of everything they'd be losing millions / basically all their income. That's the only reason sales will never be revealed for everything. It has nothing to do with covering anything up.
C2C sold an additional 16,494 copies this week according to HDD (if the new update is somehow true), so perhaps 17-18k according to Nielsen (since their numbers are always a bit higher with 1-2k copies)
I want her to come back strong so that ha catalog discography makes huge increases. Imagine how huge her songs on Spotify could be with a new smash era. Her songs would easily double their streams or more
Sales for the past 5 weeks (one more week for 2015, all those 5 weeks are counting fir the next year charts as the Year-End charts are already released)
6.000 + 9.000 + 12.000 + 16.000 + 25.000 = 68.000
Really impressive! It's going straight for a 3rd year as Jazz Album of the Year! She wanted a catalog album and she did it while having a time out of pop and focused on her personal life. Let's see what she has in store for 2016

So about 695-700k copies in total!
So if it sold 25,000 copies this week, its total sales in the US are at 720-725k right?
If it indeed sold 25k copies last week which is more than anyone could have thought it would sell, that means that sales have definitely surpassed 700k copies by now and ar at 705-715k copies.
So, C2C is basically only 40k copies behind ARTPOP now
