He sang Heartless that way because he couldnt sing other ways with that weak voice, he COULDN'T
I thought that Apologize was good. It was a little karaoke like, but it wasn't bad.
Heartless was amazing! It was something unexpected and he made it his own. It was one of his best performances. It showcased some of his strengths too!

Unexpected but there ain't any strengths. Kris stans could be happy with those performances cause it makes him less boring.
I'll agree that Heartless was good, but when you think about Kris and his usual range, it's not that farfetched for him. It's my favorite one of his, though.

He may not have a "splash off the page" kind of personality, but he is a good guy. He has a heart and he is genuine. I could care less if he is the life of the party. He is a good artist and truly gifted.
What a ****** finale. First they REPRISE songs which means weaker versions of performances we already know. ZZZZZzzzzzzzZzZzzz... THEN, they are forced to sing these lame songs that Simon Fuller chose, Adam's was actually pretty good, but WTF poor Kris?! And to completely kill any ~artistry~, they end the night with the most horrible song ever, that they both have to sing, and Kris even forgets the words and looks so uncomfortable throughout the entire performance. The song suited Adam more but even he can't make this horrible song into something listenable. What a DISASTER!!!
I want KRIS to win because they really sabotaged him tonight, and Adam's last two weeks on the show have been half-assed.

I feel the same about Adam Lambert. He takes a song and changes it to match his style. Unfortunately for him it's the exact same style all over. He only changes the songs so that he can sing the high pitched squeals the he does.

You are right on for the most part. I feel bad for Kris because everyone has been against him since it came down to him and Adam. American Idol, Katy Perry, the judges, and so on ... have been against him.
I'm gonna tell you guys what I told my family and friends .... I see Adam as David Archuleta from last season. Reason for it, last year all the judges praised Archuleta and his voice saying his gonna go far. Everyone thought he was gonna win but he didn't. His album also was filled with midtempos and somewhere too upbeat for his voice to handle. Now we have Adam getting all the praise and the judges calling him the best and original and what paula says "Iconic" but I don't see him anywhere besides heavy metal. That was proven with the pop midtempo winning song, it just doesn't suit him.

The first two rounds were great, especially Kris' first performance and Adam's second performance. But the winning song performances were just ok, I didn't like that song.
I don't think you can compare this finale to last year. Adam and Kris are so much more gifted and talented. Season 7, along with season 5 are really the low points of American Idol.

I wasn't bagging on Cook in my quote, I was a full Cook fan from the beginning.
Kris may be a monkey face but he has better appeal to a wider audience like top 40, pop, adult contemparary, etc...
Unlike adam who would be good for heavy metal, and ummmm thats it.
