Let's not sugarcoat things. Let's be real here. Only one of those two women still has an actual career in the music industry at the moment. If the other one weren't on a reality show not a soul would recall her existence.

I respect P!nk because she's real. She's no stunt. She may not be in the media eye but she's one of the best pop star's this music industry has ever had. No joke.

Pink has vocal and musical talent, her music keeps selling even after all these years and she's one of the best live performers out there
If she wanted to get into the stupid showbiz game of "im better than you" she'd be amongst the ones topping it, but I can't imagine pink yelling nonsense like "my fans are my religion" or "raise your claws katycats", such cheapness is beyond her...

Thing is she doesn't even like to call her fans "fans". She said that in an interview.
Why isn't P!nk considered the Queen of Pop? Because she doesn't want to be. But if she REALLY wanted it, she would have been queen. She would have perfume lines, and endorsements and she'd constantly stir up controversies. She would attend EVERY SINGLE award show and show up at the red carpet. She would collaborate with the newest singers just to get her name out there. She would be a judge on every struggling talent show.
She isn't. Because she doesn't care for it.

She's probably the best in sales tho and her tours are always a success.  But she's so far from being the queen of pop.

Lack of hits and impact.
She's an incredible performer and has a lot of success, but she doesn't has an iconic video or a pack of hits like Britney (Baby one More Time, Oops!... I Did it Again, Toxic, Womanizer) or Beyoncé (Crazy in Love, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies, Halo).

She's too masculine for that title. Culturally she hasn't had the same impact as other artists like Janet, Madonna, Mariah, Bey, Whitney and Britney.

Anyway. P!nk doesn't need titles to be respected or appreciated. She's a great performer, consistent seller and widely praised by the GP and critics alike. She's never tried to be a celebrity or media star. Making good music, touring and then going back to her family at the end of the day suits her perfectly. She's fantastic, and her personality + her music is what makes her one of my faves.
Oh and actually, maybe if you ask some Australians they'd say she's the Queen of Pop  .

This is the stupidest post I've ever read regarding the queen.
One should clearly know that she has countless hits that are on par with Britney & Beyoncé (Get the Party Started, So What, Raise Your Glass, Just Give Me A Reason to name a few). Just cause she doesn't match your idealism of what popstars should be like or how they should look like. Plus she may not have as many highlights such as lifetime achievement awards or Superbowl invitations merely cause she just hasn't peaked yet. She still puts the bar higher with every album era and new tour.
